Synopsis

In this manual, the author presents the lectures he gave to first-year students of the Faculty of Radiophysics of Yerevan State University on the first section of the course "Mechanics" of general physics, on kinematics. With a brief mathematical introduction, the author provides the mathematical ideas and relationships necessary for the delivery of the course at the university level. Along with the description of the definitions of the characteristics of mechanical motion and the methods of kinematic description, examples of solving problems related to the corresponding section are also given. One example also demonstrates the possibility of using the numerical method when solving a kinematic problem. The manual is intended for students of the Faculties of Radiophysics and Physics of Yerevan State University. It can also be used by students of the Faculties of Natural Sciences of Yerevan State University and other universities. The manual will also be useful for those who have decided to independently master the "Mechanics" section of general physics.
